Dr. J. Buzz Von Ornsteiner aka Dr. Buzz was born in Reno, Nevada. His father was Dr.Samuel Leo Von Ornsteiner, a psychologist and his mother is Estelle Miller, a former parole officer.
After stints as a a regular teenager on the New York City based television show This Week's Music (1984) and as an actor in theater off-Broadway, La Mama ETC. (1984), Buzz found his way into films and quickly distinguished himself as consistent face in a number of 1980s slasher films, I Was a Teenage TV Terrorist (1985), Death House (1987), Mutant Hunt (1987) (V), Necropolis (1987) , Robot Holocaust (1986) (V), Deadly Reactor (1989) , Slammer Girls (1987), Slash Dance (1989), Provoked (1989) and Camera Obscura (1990).
After experiencing the best and worst of Hollywood, Buzz headed back to Manhattan to study psychology. After completing 4 graduate degrees, he went on to complete his Ph.D.
As a licensed forensic psychologist working within the prison system and the Brooklyn courts he quickly became known to the public as "Dr. Buzz" appearing first on New York City radio with his own show and then on national cable stations, CNN, CNN Headline News, Fox News, Fox 5, Court TV News and Tru TV as an regular expert analyst commenting on current high profile criminal cases.
